Firefox News has no relationship to Mozilla (or to the any of the other groups that use the trademark “Firefox” for various products, or to the Foxfire books.) Firefox News is a site for science fiction fandom, and has been around, in various incarnations, since 1996.
We have reviews. And news. And a fair bit of gossip. We snark about politics. We talk about dolls, and Transformers, and kittens, and cons. Sometimes we’re funny and sometimes we’re pissed off and not afraid to show it. We know why FFnet is called the Pit of Voles, and why Dreamwidth was born. Some of us predate the web, and remember when rec.arts.sf and the SFlovers mailing list were how fans communicated online.
