Give Blood Ties
Firefox News pledges to donate 100% of
commissions from all affiliate sales made site-wide before December 31st, 2007, to the Actor's Fund in
support of writers, crew, and support staff affected by the Writers'
Strike. This includes but is definitely not limited to payments related to downloads of Blood Ties from iTunes. Firefox News makes 5% on every iTunes download.
To give Blood Ties, to a friend please follow these steps:
1) Click the iTunes logo to launch iTunes:

2) iTunes will launch and display a page for Blood Ties. At the bottom of the page, click "Gift this TV Show."
3) Click "Gift Episode" after the episode you wish to send.
4) Follow the steps to send the episode(s) to your friends, family, and fellow fen.
We do wish to point out that there are some things to keep in mind:
This campaign is only good for fans in the United States. We're very sorry; however, Blood Ties is only available in the US iTunes store.
Additionally, your friend needs to have a way to play the episode. This means they need one of the following:
We understand there have been suggestions by fans to boycott iTunes downloads in support of the WGA strike. Blood Ties, however, is a Canadian show that is not covered under the auspices of the WGA. Boycotting Blood Ties downloads will do nothing to help the WGA strike.
If you're still not comfortable with downloading iTunes episodes, you can also send a friend Tanya Huff's Blood books and encourage your friends to catch the TV series later. Reading the books ought to make for a few fans too!
