Adsense API, Firefox News, and You
Adsense is a advertising program run by Google. You've probably observed ads on various Web sites that say "Ads By Google." These are Adsense ads and they are one of the internet's most common ways to generate advertising revenue.
Firefox News has an agreement with Google to share Adsense advertising revenue with our Fan Reporters. To take part and receive your share of the ad revenue as a Fan Reporter, you will need to sign up with Google Adsense. After you have completed the enrollment process with Google, Google will display ads in association with your articles and you will receive a percentage of the revenue generated by those ads. You will not receive any revenue for advertisements until you are signed up with Adsense and you have associated your Adsense account with Firefox News.
Our cut of the revenue share may vary; you can see the current percentage here. We will never change this percentage without notifying you at least thirty days in advance. Payments will be issued by Google to you after you have accumulated $100 or more in revenue.
If you have an Adsense account already you can associate it with Firefox News. You will receive your share of the revenue for your Firefox News articles, but this will not affect any ad revenue you may accrue on your own site(s) or any revenue share(s) you may be receiving due to association(s) you may have with other sites participating in the Adsense API program.
