In these tough economic times, there's no better way to game than to buy used games, so I've decided to offer the occasional review of a game I have in my collection which has been out for a while, the oldest of which dates back to the days of the NES. I call these installments "Retro Game Review", because even the secondhand shopper can benefit from being informed.
In an increasingly common marketing ploy these days, a direct-to-DVD animated prequel is released to boost a franchise. The difference here is that the franchise in question is a first debut video game.
