Manga Review--Tezuka's "Dororo" 1

The manga event of the year could very well be forty years in the making...
After several big licensing announcements for the summer, Bandai Entertainment brings well-known producer and translator Toshifumi Yoshida into the fold, and announces a limited theatrical run for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

Nozomi Entertainment/RightStuf announce they have acquired the licensing rights to Aria the Animation. The RightStuf website is currently taking pre-orders for the season one box set, which will be shipped September 30, 2008. Nozomi/RightStuf will also carry future releases of the other Aria DVD sets.

Megumi Hayashibara will be returning as the voice of Lina Inverse and singing the opening and ending theme songs in the newest and fourth series of the Slayers anime franchise, Slayers Revolution...
GDH's subsidiary, GONZO Rosso, will begin airing six three-minute animations adapted from Fujio Akatsuka's Hennako-Chan comics, beginning Friday, April 25, 2008, with the remaining five episodes broadcast every second week after that. The Japanese version will be available on Gonzo's official YouTube channel, while a corresponding site jointly provided by Gonzo and Fujiyama will carry the episodes with English or Chinese subtitles.
Bandai Entertainment announces Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence as its very first Blu-ray high definition title, coming soon.

FUNimation brings Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles to Blu-ray disc for a September 2, 2008 release.
