IDW Publishing, who are creating the first Doctor Who comic expressly aimed at the American market, have updated the information available. A five-page preview is on their website, allowing readers to check out the artwork and the Gary Russell storyline.
To celebrate the upcoming series, which begins in January, IDW is offering national and international subscriptions to a 6-issue Doctor Who Classics set of reprints as well as the 6-issue run of the new Doctor Who comic. Each costs $23.94 plus shipping and handling.
The modern series will star David Tennant's Tenth Doctor traveling with Martha Jones, in a series of adventures set before the end of the previous season of Doctor Who. The classic series will have new coloring and updated covers, and start with stories about Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor.
Doctor Who itself will return to British television on Christmas Day with the 71-minute special "Voyage of the Damned."
