Firefox News is happy to announce that just in a few short weeks, we've raised over fifty dollars in affiliate sales to donate to the Actor's Fund, which supports professionals at all levels of the entertainment industry.  Firefox News has pledged to donate 100% of commissions from all affiliate sales made through the end of December.  Our iTunes commissions alone accounted for $39.27 for the month of November.  We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans who chose to shop through our site and help support the people affected by the strike.  If you haven't had a chance to go by our quick links, please drop by our Music of Supernatural page, our Music of Smallville page, or our Give Blood Ties page, and find your favorite songs or episodes.

Firefox News Editor in Chief Leva Cygnet said, "I know this is not much money given the fact that 40,000 people are laid off or striking, but for a writer or crew member who's out of work, I know this donation is going to matter. It'll be important to somebody."

The Actors Fund is national, nonprofit organization which serves entertainment and performing arts professionals in need.  The fund provides money for food, rent, and medical care, as well as providing counseling, mental health and substance abuse services, an AIDS initiative, disabled and senior care, and many other programs.  The fund serves writers, actors, designers, stagehands, electricians, producers, and other entertainment professionals.
