Monday night in London saw a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many younger music fans: the reunion of one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Led Zeppelin, the legendary band that launched a thousand copies but was never duplicated, reunited on-stage at London's O2 Arena to the delight of 20,000 very lucky fans.
The set kicked off with "Good Times Bad Times," and went through "Kashmir," "Whole Lotta Love," "In My Time of Dying," and "For Your Life." Of course, they played "Stairway to Heaven."
In his father's place, Jason Bonham played the drums. The band disbanded about the senior Bonham's death in 1980, and the surviving members had said for years they would never do another show. But classic rock fans heard that same thing after Jerry Garcia died, and the Dead reunited and went back on tour after a reunion show, too. Monday's show, a charity tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, who signed the band way back in '68, might just be the stepping stone back into the limelight for Led Zeppelin that fans have been dreaming of.

When asked about that possibility, Jimmy Page told Reuters, "Let's just do the O2 and we'll see what happens from there. I haven't got a crystal ball here and nor have you."
