View all articles by Linnea DodsonThe BBC has updated their Doctor Who website with another page discussing the 2007 Children in Need special, which includes a crossover episode of Doctor Who. The Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison) and the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) will meet each other in a scene called "Time Crash." Time Crash was written by Stephen Moffat, two-time Hugo winner for previous Doctor Who episodes, and the author of the charity Doctor Who parody "Doctor Who and the Curse of the Fatal Death.
BBC pledges to keep Time Crash online for UK viewers for a week after the Children in Need special, along with a special behind-the-scenes featurette from the Doctor Who Confidential. If Children in Need follows their pattern, non-UK viewers will be able to purchase a Region 2 DVD of the entire special from Amazon.co.uk a few weeks from now. In addition to Time Crash, it will include vocal performances by John Barrowman and Kylie Minogue, previous and future companions of the Doctor.
The Children in Need special will be aired this Friday in Britain. Donations can already be made world-wide via the Children in Need website.
