Nea has been a fan of Doctor Who since before the era of VCRs and personal computers. Now she's thrilled that there's an all-new show and all-new ways for fandom to keep up to date and spread. John Barrowman, the man behind Captain Jack Harkness (a recurring companion in Doctor Who and the star of Who spinoff Torchwood), is on the verge of releasing a new album titled "Another Side." Mostly romantic ballads such as "Weekend in New England," "If You Leave Me Now," "Your Song," and "All By Myself," Another Side will be reaching British stores on November 12. (Canadian and American fans are able to order it on the Internet via any of the various branches of Amazon.)
To promote the album, Barrowman will be doing his first solo singing tour in April of 2008, with performances in Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham, Glasgow, London, Bristol, Manchester, and Brighton. Tickets will go on sale November 9 at 9:30 a.m. at www.gigsandtours.com.
For those who cannot wait for the tour, John Barrowman will also be singing at the UK National Lottery Draw on November 14.
There are also reports of him doing a signing at the HMV Shop at 150 Oxford Street, London, on November 16, but this is not yet confirmed at the HMV web page.
