Tanya Huff says the show needs your help.
Decision time is
fast approaching: Will there be another season of Blood Ties?
Tanya Huff,
author of the books on which the show is based, certainly hopes so, and she's
urging all the show's fans to push for a second season.
On her blog,
Huff that the response from American fans has been great.
"Now I have
a favour to ask of the Canadian fen--if you guys could drop
a quick email to CityTV over the next couple of days (or what the
hell, a couple of emails today) and let them know that you enjoy the show
and you'd like to see more of it, I'd be really grateful. At
the risk of sounding a little too much like Horton Hears a Who--they
need to know you're there on the dust-speck."
On the American
side of things, there is still a postcard-writing campaign. If you'd like to
let Lifetime know how much you’re enjoying Blood Ties, send your postcard to: Lifetime
Television, 309 W. 49th Street, New York, NY 10019.
As Huff notes,
television executives want to know there's an audience before they commit the
money for a show...so it's time for Blood Ties fans to stand up and be counted.
