In a radio interview with Dan Aykroyd, the writer/actor has spoken of new life for the planned "Ghostbusters 3" project, reports
Aint It Cool News. According to Aykroyd, the holdup has been due to series star Bill Murray. New plans include making the film as CGI, for which Murray would be willing to do voicework. The script is tentatively titled "Hellbent." The premise is that the Ghostbusters cross dimensions and wind up in a hellish alternate version of Manhattan populated by devils, demons and other monsters.
Aykroyd says: "It lives. It lives today. Last year, it didn't. ... With CGI animation and the way these cartoons are done, we can do everything I ever wrote in that script for much less money."
