While FOX spent its Sunday at the ballpark, the Simpsons are getting ready for their annual Halloween episode and the release of their new game due out in the US on October 30^th. Treehouse of Terror XVII will air on November 4^th at 8/7c.

The Simpsons Game will be released through all the major platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation3, Nintendo Wii, Playstation Portable, and Nintendo DS. 

Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa fight to save the world using their individual attacks and power-ups.

Early reviews of the demo have criticized the maneuverability and graphics, while some (obviously from Shelbyville) have questioned whether the shows satire can follow through in the game. Fans of The Simpsons shouldn’t be disappointed in Homer's ability to eat until he turns into Tub O’Lard Homer and wreak serious havoc while Bart has his trusty slingshot and can gain the Bartcape to become Bartman.

If you love the show you shouldn’t be disappointed in the parodies of current events and overall Simpson-ness of the game. The voice-over actors from the show voiced the characters in the game too, so it looks and sounds like an actual episode. It’s like controlling an episode all on your own, so what’s not to love?
