There's a trailer for Lifetime's promising new vampire series, Blood Ties, on YouTube. Blood Ties is based on Tanya Huff's excellent vampire novels.
In the US, the pilot is set to air on March 11th, 2007 in the US; it may not air until fall in Canada. Lifetime has picked it up in the US.
Per Tanya Huff in her blog, it has also been bought by a network in the UK.
Unfortunately, regular episodes will be airing very late (Ten PM) in the US, and in direct competition with the leviathan that is Battlestar Galactica. While it may be a good sign that the network is pitting Blood Ties against BSG, the problem may be in getting fans to switch channels from a solidly established show to Blood Ties.
