"Wolverin" has begun casting in Australia, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.  The paper spotted star Hugh Jackman approaching people at Bondi Beach, asking if they want to audition for the new flick, which is a prequel to the X-films.  (Not that big-name actors have ever walked up to pretty men or women and offered them an "audition for the new movie.")  Among the folks regularly spotted with Jackman is well-known actor from Oz Aaron Jeffery (McLeod's Daughters), who could believably pull off the role of Logan's brother.

The film's director Gavin Hood and cinematographer Donald McAlpine are in New Zealand right now scouting locations for the shoot, which may last three to fuor months, barring catastrophes or union problems.
