J.K. Rowling Outs Dumbledore
"Dumbledore is gay," says J.K. Rowling
according to
AP.
This happened during a Q&A session with young readers at Carnegie Hall
in New York City.
Asked if Dumbledore had
found true love, Rowling responded with the bombshell that Dumbledore
was gay and that the greatest wizard of all time had in fact loved his
onetime friend, later enemy, Gellert Grindelwald.
Could that battle between the two have been a lover's quarrel? Probably
not, but Rowling admitted that this love had been a great tragedy.
"Oh, my god," she said, "the fan fiction." I'm sure much will be written
about this development.
In other romantic news,
Newsweek reports
that Hagrid did not marry, but that Neville Longbottom did, to Hannah
Abbott, a former Hufflepuff classmate.
