Actor Daniel Radcliffe made a stir earlier this year when he appeared bare on-stage in London in "Equus," and now he's making another splash. Radcliffe is promoting his new film "December Boys," in which he plays one of four older orphans competing for a home, and he's got his eye on his next role: a remake of 1984's "Another Country," The role Radcliffe is auditioning for is a boarding-school boy in the 1930s who falls in love with his closest friend, and later becomes a spy.
At a press conference for "December Boys," Radcliffe said, "I'd never play a gay character just for the sake of playing a gay character. If the script was good, and it was a good gay character then, I'm 18, and so the parts I'm going to be getting will be open for around that age range. And around that age range is when people are exploring sexuality, so those are the parts I think I will be involved in."
Radcliffe has grown up on the silver screen due to his role as harry Potter. he would be available for filming "Another Country" after shooting wraps up on "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Meanwhile, the stage show "Equus" will be coming to Broadway next year. Radcliffe shouldn't be getting bored anytime soon.
