For a film which has made a virtue out of being sworn to secrecy, there's certainly a lot of news about JLA this week. Less than two days after Jessica Biel (Blade-Trinity, Stealth, The Illusionist) was rumoured to be in talks to play Wonder Woman, we've heard via IGN that Entertainment Weekly are reporting that she's passed on the role.

Interestingly, the casting focus now seems to be moving towards John Stewart aka Green Lantern.

Stewart is something of a fan favourite, a character who has rarely enjoyed the same spotlight as compatriots Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner or Hal Jordan but still remains very popular. In the comics, he's a thirty to forty-something architect, but, if the rumour IESB.net has heard is true, that may be set to change. Clifford Joseph Harris Junior aka T.I. (American Gangster) is alleged to have read for the role. If true, this and Biel's near-miss with the script suggest that this JLA will be far younger than their printed counterparts

JLA is directed by George Miller and filming is set to start in Australia in early 2008
