Eureka has been handed an order for a third season, much to the delight of the show's fanbase, reports Broadcasting & Cable. Sadly, it's yet another 13 episode season and it won't premiere until July of 2008, but you take what you can get.

Across the dial, James Marsters (that busy guy) will be returning to Kansas, says E!Online. He'll be appearing in four episodes of Smallville this season, though whether as Brainiac / Dr. Fine, a flashback, or a hallucination is entirely unknown at this point. Marsters is appearing all over the place lately, from Without a Trace to Torchwood to even releasing a new album.
SciFi Executive VP of original programming Mark Stern said, "Eureka rose to an even higher creative level in its sophomore season, combining entertaining, compelling stories with deeper character development and great cast chemistry.
