A possible recurring guest role?  SyFy Portal reports that James Marsters may not be a one-shot guest on Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood after all.  Marsters appeared at Dragon*Con over this past weekend and (possibly unintentionally) had a little to say about his role.

Marsters said, "I cannot confirm or deny anything about my character on Torchwood  But I thought Spike was nasty ... that was nothing.  And they opened my eyes over in Wales, I gotta say.  I mean at first I was all freaked out ‘cause this dude playing Jack [John Barrowman], he's like all sexy on the set and everything.  And I didn’t really realize we'd be playing these Time Agent characters who’ll have sex with anything, like any thing with a hole! I’m serious."

Translation: Marsters is playing one of the mysterious Time Agents, and that indicates Jack will have a bone to pick with him.  (Erm, pun intended.)

"The first day I was like freaked out, 'Oh God, help me.'  Then I got into my character and I got to understand my character and everything. And the lead character Jack goes -- he drives up in this beautiful red car -- and he goes, 'I almost did the car.

' And by this time I was totally comfortable with it and I knew that he was in character and I said 'Well, that shiny metal is winking at you … I'd do her, too … where'd ya take her?’ and he said, 'Up the gas station.' I mean, like he didn’t really do that but I looked at the SUV and it's like, 'James, steady there.'"  He added,  "Yeah I’m a little more comfortable with myself now."

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel interviewed John Barrowman's sister Carole, an English professor at Milwaukee's Alverno College.  Barrowman is writing her famous sib's memoirs and related a few of the stories she'll be delving into.

"John was bullied a lot in high school, which I never knew," she said.  "When he came out (as a gay man), I think it was in the U.K., (the family) was, like, 'OK, no big surprise.'"

John Barrowman, speaking to a group of TV critics in LA recently, said of the project: "She does all the work, but they wanted me to say I was writing it. But I wouldn't have anything to do with that. I said, it's about me, but my sister will get the credit as the author on the book."

"I'm from a very close, tight-knit family, and my sister knows everything about me, so I have no problem telling her all this stuff. There's a couple of times she goes, 'Eeewww, I don't want to know,' but I think she's slightly got . . ."

Carole said, "Actually, five times."

John said: "Yeah, five times. (But) I think she's got over that."
