There's a hot rumor floating arond tonight about the identities of the villains in the third Batfilm. A regular scooper over on Cinema Blend has revealed that the "[w]ord is that Heath Ledger could be coming back in the next sequel which will have Two Face as the main villain." What does this mean for the movie in production right now? Well, first off, it sounds like the villains are actually going to survive the film, a pleasant surprise in superhero flicks these days. The Joker has been Batman's chief nemesis for years; it'd be a pity to only see him the once.
(Besides, the world needs a film version of Harley Quinn, with Paul Dini involved in the script process. Yes.)
But onto movie three. The unnamed source had another tidbit to throw: "[the movie] could also include a certain female feline as well."
So, Two-Face, Joker and Catwoman all in one place. Either it could be a finely-tuned exploration of the many facets of Bruce's shattered psyche as reflected in the visages of his most famous foes, or like "Spider-Man 3" it'll be three movies crushed into one.
In related news, the casting for the yet-untitled JLA film has begun in Vancouver, Toronto and New York. The roles in audition are "Female Option" #1-3 and "Male Option" #1-5, although it is unclear if these are the heroes or additional cast.

It depends on Warner Bros. approach to Batman 3. Whether or not they would want to continue the franchise is vital. Or at least one in a darker Nolan-based state of mind. If they do choose to go forward then they need to finish with a film called " The fall of Batman featuring the ultimate end of Bruce Wayne as Batman when he suffers permanent paralization from the waste down as a result of a backbreaker he receives from an evil muscle-bound Roid-freak character named Bane. The film should then focus on the transition of a new character as Batman who is an understudy to Wayne as Wayne was to Ros Al Guhl. Creating the opening for a new trilogy and a new title..."The Legend of Batman". How does that sound?

We feel that having another well known villian that is more sinister and darker of mind would better suit the movie progression. Someone like The Riddler possibly played by JOHNNY DEPP or The Book Worm possibly played Jared Leto/Edward Norton and or James Marsters. This would be a fine choice of casting by Christopher Nolan. Furthermore they should not put two big villains into one movie..again. It feels as if the less popular villain, for example two face being outshone by the joker, will be rushed and thus lowering the standard of scriptwriting of which the saga should attain.
peace out

i think for the third batman, they should have the riddler..played by johhny depp or Joshua Harto(coleman reese in dark knight(2008)), then poison ivy played by gwyneth paltrow, then two face played by aaron eckhart

I think the third batman film should be followed up with two to three main villains. A visit to Arkham Asylum would be pretty interesting if maybe a villain could break out more thugs. I think you have to put the Riddler in the third movie as the main villain. Two-Face as a different style of enemy, mainly aimed towards Bruce Wayne. The Joker needs to have at least a cameo in this film, but not a close up. Heath was amazing and that should never be taken away from him. Harley Quinn would be interesting to see join the villains and maybe a little of Bane? If anything this film will be great. I'd say eckhart as two face, depp as the riddler, charlize theron as harley, john cena as bane. enough said

I would like to see Poison Ivy done right. Make her an eco-terrorist who finds a means of sabotaging equipment and unmanned facilities. It has been documented that "eco-terrorists" have used various means of proving their points such as "embedding metal spikes in trees." Reference the Kyoto Protocol on climate change and how environmentalists have challenged corporations such as ExxonMobil, McDonalds, etc. Ivy is a definite contender in terms of maintaining realism in the Batman universe. Instead of having her declare war against ExxonMobil, she would/could be challenging Wayne Industries along w/ other major corporations in Gotham - and potentially the world. With her intelligence and persuasiveness she could prove a worthy adversary.
