Firefox News is a news portal and blog that covers a very wide variety of topics of interest to fandom.* We are looking for enthusiastic bloggers for our Fan Reporter program who want to write news, reviews, editorials, and other articles for the Web site.

We have recently been approved by Google as an Adsense API partner. Payment to contributors will be in the form of a 99% share of Adsense revenue for ads running in conjunction with contributors' articles. You can read more about Adsense API here:

For both the benefit of our readers and contributors, the site is picked up by Google News, has RSS feeds for every category and subcategory, ranks well in search engines, and is well optimized for a variety of other sources of traffic. The site already ranks in the top ten thousand blogs on Technorati and has had articles on the front page of Digg and Google News.
This means that contributors to Firefox News contributors will easily find an audience for their articles.

If you are interested in becoming a Fan Reporter we have a list of current openings and more information about the program here. There are currently openings for Fan Reporters who want to cover internet technology, DC and Marvel, Disney/Pixar, Dreamworks, Transformers, and Harry Potter.

Please note that we are slowly rolling out the Fan Reporter Program and eventually plan to have several dozen contributors writing for the site. You can check back to the Openings page to see if there are new openings or, if you're on Livejournal, you can friend ljcygnet to find out about future openings.
