Will Superboy become Superman? IESB has the scoop on the new JLA movie.  First, last week's rumor about the motion capture has been debunked, or more properly, clarified.  Motion-capture will be utilized for parts of the film, specifically OMACs and underwater scenes.  Think more "Lord of the Rings" than "Polar Express."  (Watch fandm breathe a sigh of relief.)

As for casting the panties of steel, the word on the street tonight is that someone who's tried them on will be wearing the blue tights.  Tom Welling, currently the star of the CW's Smallville, is well in the lead for the role, report reliable (if anonymous) sources.  His contract for the show apparently has a work-around clause for his film career, and Warner Brothers might be bright enough to cash in on his built-in popularity.  Meanwhile, with new character Kara aka Supergirl showing up this season, the show's focus may change to her in more episodes while Welling is filming.
