True to the policy, fan artists are being given warnings to remove potentially objectionable material -- even when it's not violating Livejournal's Terms of Service.  A user named VikingCarrot posted that artists are beginning to receive warnings.

From the post:

Dear LiveJournal user vikingcarrot,

We are contacting you regarding an entry of yours that has been reported to the Abuse Prevention Team:

http://community.livejournal.com/pornish_pixies/394537.html

This entry contains a drawing depicting a minor in an explicit sexual situation. Such content is in violation of our content policies. We are requesting that you remove the image from this entry as soon as possible, but no later than Saturday, August 18 at 12:01 AM EDT, to prevent further action from being taken against your account.

Regards,
Renata
LiveJournal Abuse Prevention Team

The user locked the picture a week ago and had already added a disclaimer regarding the age of the youngest character (18) in the drawing.  The Abuse Team responded that a group of them looked at the picture and decided the character in question still looked underage.  Meanwhile, a user named Cluegirl was also told she had been given her first "strike" regarding an image that the user says she deleted already.

Livejournal staff seems to be following their own protocols as set up in the most recent posts on the matter, although users should expect to see those protocols change when Abuse Team members catch on to the fact that their caches need updated.  On Tuesday, Six Apart released Movable Type 4, the newest version of its popular blogging software; response times from 6A staff will likely be slower due to the surge in issues due to product release.

In related news, Livejournal team member CoffeeChica issued an apology regarding her flippant comments about anorexia during the initial scuffle.
