The BBC has announced a 13-part miniseries featuring the animated adventures of the Tenth Doctor and his companion. (Spoilers for upcoming Dr Who casting under the cut.) Who stars David Tennant (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Blackpool) and Freema Agyeman (The Bill, Crossroads) will reprise their roles as The Doctor and Martha in "The Infinite Quest."

"The Doctor And Martha follow a trail of clues across wild and wonderful alien worlds, to find the location of the legendary lost spaceship, the Infinite," revealed Who exec producer Russell T. Davies.

Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will also be guest-starring in the new animated series, returning to Who villainy after an excellent turn in last season's "School Reunion." This time, he plays Baltazar, Scourge of the Galaxy, and he is sure to chew scenery as delightfully as ever.

The Infinite Quest will be written by Alan Barnes and directed by Gary Russell.
