Weird rumor going out tonight about a possible musical "Brokeback Mountain." Over at ONTD of all places, the word is that the Oscar-winning movie is going to become the (maybe) Tony-winning songfest.  The real eye-blink in the rumor is that "X-Men" stars Hugh Jackman and James Marsden are the frontrunners for the leads.  Jackman's got the background from his his Tony-winning performance as gay singer and songwriter Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.  Marsden recently showed off his vocals as Corny Collins in Hairspray.

On the one hand, this is a slash fans dream.  On the other, this sounds like a slash fan's dream, and that someone heard about the "Brokeback" rumor and added a little "X-Men" RPS to the mix.  Nevertheless, this sounds like a great project and one sure to generate a lot of discussion.
