Tim Blake Nelson has signed on for a leadership role in "The Incredible Hulk." The Hollywood Reporter says Nelson will be playing Samuel Sterns, a chemical lab worker who undergoes a gamma ray makeover to become The Leader, a superintelligent villain. The Abomination was previously announced as one of the film's villains (to be played by Tim Roth).
The plot, penned by Zak Penn, picks up with Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) on the run from the government. He gets help from Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) while being chased by her dad (William Hurt). The film is due out June 13, 2008.
Nelson is best known for his role in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" as the dimwitted Delmar. He also appeared in "Holes," a quirky film known for many reasons, not the least being a breakthrough role for wonderboy Shia LaBeouf.
