DC Comics and Warner Bros. get ready for another icon to make movie magic. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Weird Western Tales alum Jonah Hex is getting the big-screen treatment. Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are adapting the character, focusing less on a straight-up Western and homing in on the supernatural aspects. (Maybe he'll get a time jump? That guy got around a lot.
) Andrew Lazar and Akiva Goldsman are producing the flick. Greg Silverman and Elishia Holmes are the Warners honchos on the project, which Gregory Noveck cover's DC's end.
Jonah Hex is an odd character, known for his striking appearance and his antihero attitude. He originally appeared in the '70's and has been brought back a couple of times in the comics. He appeared twice in Bruce Timm's animated DC 'verse, voiced first by Bill McKinney and then by Adam Baldwin.
