Ah.  Now that's what I've been missing.  Third time out is the charm, and said charm is brought to town courtesy of Carter's ex-wife played by always delightful Olivia "Mary Sue Q" d'Abo.  Custody arrangements!  Denied opportunities for promotions!  Frozen corpses!  Okay, not the most typical fare for SF dramedy, but I'll take it.

Mytharc elements this week: Alison pushes through Henry's return to GD over Beverly's objections.  Beverly responds by freaking out, grabbing her toys, and going back to the people who pull her strings.  Not only is Kevin linked to the Artifact, but Stark knows about it and sent anonymous email to Alison to tell her he's been studying her kid.  Vincent's secret ingredient is truffle oil.

Erm.

The funny this time is situational.  Jack has the awkward "new sorta gf meets the ex" moment followed right up by the just as awkward "surrounded by smart people" moment.  Stark brings the snark and remains exceptionally sweet where Kevin is concerned.  Lupo finds a thumb (and we're glad).  Fargo spends too much time watching primates.  Even the reveal on Pete the Diet Coke of Evil Weatherman is funny in a sad sort of way.  (Plot nicked from: X-Files; next week's plot nicked from: TNG.)  Nice touch on the twist with Wendy's affair and that Hubby a) knew and b) approved.  The ending is right out of "Primal" from last season, but since I've been mourning the lack of last season's feel of "fluffy with a taste of angst," I liked it.

Welcome back, everybody!
