'Scapers rejoice! The most fahrbot series on television is coming back ... sorta. Gateworld reports that the Farscape universe will return to SciFi.com in the web-series format that has been so successful for SciFi Pulse in the past. Brian Henson and Robert Halmi Jr. are set to produce the 10-part series. The new episodes will "expand the Farscape universe" though casting has yet to be announced. Since stars Ben Browder and Claudia Black once again seem to be out of work, they'd probably not turn down the chance.
Farscape ran on SciFi from 1999 through 2003, and then returned for a four-hour wrapup movie in 2004. Ostensibly, the series followed the adventures of John Crichton (Browder), an astronaut lost in a freak accident who finds himself far from home and surrounded by strange aliens with whom he develops an uneasy alliance as they flee from the crazed military commander who wants vengeance for his brother's death. And it was, but it was a lot more, too: family and friendship and lust and power and dealing with one's own demons and learning that home isn't a place. The return of the show in any format is a great gift to the fans, and it can't come back too soon.

thats awesome, if they need any special effects volunteers I'm in!
I do a lot of the special cg3dvfx.
I say whoever doesn't return gets turned into a cg character from now on damnit! Or at least for the webisodes. Nah, cg isn't that good yet, but remember blakes 7, when they got rid of blake after the 2nd season!!!
