Sophia Myles will be taking the leading lady role in new vampire detective series Moonlight, according to the Hollywood Reporter.  She replaces Shannon Lucio (The OC) as Beth Turner, a spunky investigative reporter for a website.  (Lucio's character was a television reporter.)  The character is the human love interest to Alex O'Laughlin's emo vampire.  Together, they fight crime.

Myles is best known for her role in "Tristan + Isolde" and also played a fantastic Mme de Pompadour on Doctor Who last season. 

In other casting news, Matt Letscher will be joining the cast of "psychic lawyer" series Eli Stone, playing the lead character's brother.  He has appeared on The New Adventures of Old Christine and Joey.
