The soundtrack for next week's "Transformers" will hit the stores the same day that the film opens in theatres, proving that production companies can learn from the mistakes of others. (Does anyone else remember the "Death of You Know Who" track on "SW:TPM" soundtrack?) Children of the '80s have fond memories of the original soundtrack to 1985's "Transformers: The Movie," which featured such quirky classics as Weird Al's "Dare to Be Stupid" and "Drive." (Nostalgia fans, the soundtrack was re-released in May with bonus material. Alas, you can't get it in cassette form.
)
The track listing for the new album is:
Linkin Park - "What I've Done"
Smashing Pumpkins - "Doomsday Clock"
Disturbed - "This Moment"
Goo Goo Dolls - "Before It's Too Late (Sam and Mikaela's Theme)"
The Used - "Pretty Handsome Awkward"
HIM - "Passion's Killing Floor"
Taking Back Sunday - "What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?"
Styles of Beyond featuring Mike Shinoda - "Second To None"
Armor For Sleep - "End Of The World"
Idiot Pilot - "Retina And The Sky"
Julien-K - "Technical Difficulties"
Mute Math - "Transformers Theme"
