The upcoming animated Spider-Man series will be called The Spectacular Spider-Man.  Produced by Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman, the new show will focus on the beginning of Peter Parker's career as the webslinger, picking up a couple of months after the spider bite and telling his adventures in high school as he battles big and little bads.  Previously, the title for the new show was going to be The Amazing Spider-Man (not to be confused with The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Spider-Man Unlimited, or Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends).  Production is already underway, with a 2008 premiere on Kids!WB on the CW.
