James Marsters will be saddling up with the "
X-Files meets
Peyton Place" fun BBC At Night series
Torchwood. According to
James Marsters Live, Marsters will be a guest star on the popular show in an episode to air early next year. Marsters of course is best-known as Buffy's nemesis-turned-beau Spike on
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, later a (temporary) ghost on
Angel. Marsters also spent some time on Smallville as villain Milton Fine / Brainiac.
For the fans on this side of the pond who haven't heard,
Torchwood is a bizarre spinoff of
Doctor Who, following the adventures of Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and his merry band of MIBs. The show is much more adult than
Doctor Who (a children's show --- really!) and hasn't yet made its way to the States. Considering the massive amounts of sex and violence, it probably won't.
