Hoping to catch more windfall from big-screen fantasy flicks like The Lord of the Rings and their own Narnia series, Disney has just acquired a fantasy script for "The Occasionally Interesting Anti-Adventures of an Unnamed Girl," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The spec script was penned by Brian Nathanson. The story focuses on a bored suburbanite girl who runs away to a fantasy world that turns out to be darker than she thought and far more than she expected. The project is being described as a cross between "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," and "The Wizard of Oz." One assumes there will be no musical numbers, but this being Disney, who knows?
