William Hurt has signed on with the cast of upcoming Marvel flick "The Incredible Hulk," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Hurt will be playing Gen. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, father of the title character's love interest and also the man who's sworn his life to catching the Big Green Guy.
Hurt joins Edward Norton (David Banner), Liv Tyler (Betty Ross) and Tim Roth (Emil Blonsky/the Abomination). Louis Leterrier is directing the flick, which starts out with Banner on the run and the government in hot pursuit. Zak Penn wrote the script.
Hurt has appeared in many films, but is best known to genre fans from his appearances in "The Village," the film "Lost in Space," "Michael," "Syriana," and the updated SciFi Channel "Dune" miniseries.
