With The Temptations, Martha Reeves, Smokey Robinson and Human Nature singing Motown songs the ballroom was filled with the classic tunes that have rocked and thrilled many a generation. Smokey Robinson has my vote to return as a regular vocalist. He was amazing to watch and complimented the dancers' routines very well.

Anyway, the stars had their work cut out with them as they prepared two dances; the individual routine and some Cha Cha steps for the Cha Cha Relay.
Jaleel White: Actor
Kym Johnson: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Cha Cha
Wow! Jaleel grabbed back a lot of the precision and adeptness he displayed in his Week 1 performance. He was spry, quick on his feet, strong in the holds and brimming with enthusiasm. It was a great mix of Latin flair and Motown soul.

Judgment Call: The judges loved Jaleel's Cha Cha so much that they gave him two 10s. It was quite the comeback dance and they hope Jaleel keeps it up.

Gladys Knight: Singer
Tristan MacManus: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Rhumba
A simplistic and elegant Rhumba. Impressed that she got her leg up around Tristan's for a special dip. The doo-wop moves were a nice choice even if a bit of an odd fit for the Rhumba. Her footwork was tidy yet careful. If there was any major hip swiveling it was performed by Tristan. It was more of Gladys being the sophisticated lady. She didn't come off like a grandma trying to be hip but she brought her own brand of class and charm to the routine. If this turns out to be her last dance it will be a great conclusion to her run in the competition.

Judgment Call: A mixed bag of adoration for what Gladys tried to do and the awe of having a genuine Motown legend dance for Motown Night. Though Carrie Ann and Bruno were a bit cheerful about Gladys' Rhumba Len felt that it was a bit lacking in pizazz.

Roshon Fegan: Actor / Dancer
Chelsie Hightower: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Rumba
Chelsie may have had doubts about Roshon playing up sensuality in his Rhumba but by the end of the routine even Chelsie was made into a believer. The youthful entertainer successfully portrayed a man in love (or lust, depending on your perspective). The tone set was romantic and flirtatious. Roshon nailed the hip swivels and excelled on the balletic arm and leg stretches. Combined with an exceptional rendition of “Cruising” by Smokey Robinson it was quite a striking routine and one of the sharpest Rhumba's of the night.

Judgment Call: The judges liked the dance but that praise seemed to be outweighed by heapings of criticism. Carrie Ann didn't like the lift, Len thought it was too herky-jerky and Bruno felt it lacked fluidity. Close but no 10 score.

Donald Driver: Football Pro
Peta Murgatroyd: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Foxtrot
Interesting Foxtrot. It was pretty, smooth and classy. The footwork had it's little flaws plus a hiccup during a routine infront of the judges' desk but overall Donald is continuing to show some highly impressive rhythms on the dancefloor.

Judgment Call: They loved it.
Len was especially happy with Donald's Foxtrot.

Melissa Gilbert: Actress
Maks Chmerkovskiy: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Viennese Waltz
Slowing down the action really helped Melissa to brush up on her precision and syncopation. She was graceful, fluid and confident. It was a relief to see Melissa perform without the deer in headlights look. I can't say I'm completely confident in Melissa's dance skills but her Viennese Waltz wiped out half of my doubts.

Judgment Call: The judges were pleased with Melissa's improved technique despite some little errors in her performance.

William Levy: Actor / Model
Cheryl Burke: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Rhumba
It was okay, to me. I mean, I think William carried over most of his sensual passion displayed in last week's Argentine Tango. The mood was definitely set correctly but I felt William's hip swivels were a bit weak, his arm extensions looked stunted and his footwork could've appeared a little on the pedestrian side. Perhaps maybe there was more emphasis on making William look hot rather than look like a hot dancer.

Judgment Call: Bruno was in hog heaven while Carrie Ann and Len hoped for more content rather than just leaning solely on William's hunky body.

Maria Menounos: TV Host
Derek Hough: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Foxtrot
Aside from a stumble during a staircase stunt Maria's Foxtrot was a classy routine. She looked sharp, demure and emoted the presence of a princess. After weeks of dancing sassy and sexy Latin dances it was amazing to see Maria turn it around for a refined and regal Foxtrot with a touch of 1950s glamour.

Judgment Call: Carrie Ann and Bruno cited errors in Maria's posture and the trip-up on the stairs yet hailed Maria with praise for continuing to shine on the dancefloor. As an added twist Len lauded Maria with compliments and enjoyed her beautiful Foxtrot.

Katherine Jenkins: Singer
Mark Ballas: Pro Partner

Week 6 / Samba
What impressed me most about Katherine's Samba was the amount of soul she displayed on the dancefloor. Her bouncy moves and flourishes of doo-wop funk made it one of the more unique Sambas I've ever seen. I hate to take a page from Len about content but it really looked like there might've been more Motown than Samba. Overall, Katherine showed a lot of sass and brass during her Motown flavored Samba.

Judgment Call: All three judges were in heaven with Katherine's amazing Samba. I guess there was enough content or they were so shocked by the classical singer “gettin' down” that they didn't mind the lack of Samba. They were very happy with the abundance of bounciness.
