Luke Goss shared a little insight into his hush-hush role for the upcoming "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army." Talking to ShockTillYouDrop.Com, Goss mentioned he's under a great number of restrictions from Universal about his role in Guillermo del Toro's sequel, but also said that del Toro has been granted a fair amount of leeway in the second film, and Goss is running with it in his role as Big Red's primary antagonist on this outing.

Said Goss, "Like with 'Blade II,' I'm a big fan of taking the maniacal out of anything.
Certainly ten years ago it was like 'bad guy' meant 'maniacal villain' - they were great actors not in the best roles. Dr. Evil was created out of performances that were meant to be valid. From Guillermo's script, without giving it away, let's just say I'm a big fan of internal pain and anguish. All of these things elicit a truthful direction rather than just [motivated by] greed or ego. This character, the Prince, his father's the King so...  It's just a bloody great role. Visually, it's stunning."  (del Toro has hinted previously about an "elf king" character in the film.)

"Hellboy 2" is due out in theatres in August 2008.
