'Lost' actor Matthew Fox is apparently in final negotiations to play Racer X in upcoming Wachowski brothers flick "Speed Racer," according to the Hollywood Reporter. The cast is shaping up quickly: joining Fox will be Kick Gurry as Sparky, Speed's hippie mechanic. Emilie Hirsch and Christina Ricci have already signed on to play Speed and Trixie. Susan Sarandon and John Goodman will play Mom and Pops Racer. What was just a rumor and a bit of a joke is looking more and more like a bona fide film. The only sad part is that some of us have known Racer X's mysterious secret since we were three years old (or so), and thus hope the movie's denouement has a bigger hook.
