Record Collection will release the official soundtrack to "Spider-Man 3" on May 1st, according to the official press release. Snow Patrol's "Signal Fire," the first single released from the soundtrack, has already gathered a lot of buzz for the album. Coming up soon will be "Red River" by The Walkmen.
The special deluxe edition of the soundtrack will only be available online, and will include a bonus track: "Theme From Spider-Man" by The Flaming Lips.

What's your favorite superhero tie-in soundtrack? Personally, I love the score from the first "Superman" movie, but I have a special -- if slightly embarrassed -- place in my heart for the Prince-dominated "Batman" soundtrack.
