Wizards of the Coast, one of the largest gaming-related companies in the world, is starting a new imprint for its fantasy novels, WIZARDS OF THE COAST DISCOVERIES, wherein new writers can find an outlet for their voices, according to the official press release. Unrelated to the fantasy novel game tie-ins already published by the company (distributed via Random House), the new series aims to find fresh voices among what is occasionally an overburdened genre.

Liz Schuh, Director of Book Publishing with Wizards of the Coast, said, "We have a more than 20-year history of discovering and nurturing talented new authors and we’re thrilled with the opportunity to continue that with the Wizards of the Coast Discoveries line. Long-time fans of our books and newcomers alike will find something new to love among our varied and dynamic line-up."
