Another Firefly alum finds her way back to the small screen

Firefly actress Gina Torres will appear this fall as a recurring cast member of Gossip Girl, according to a story at TVguide.

com.

Torres will appear as Vanessa Abrams' mother, Gabriela, a free spirit who's been living off the grid in Vermont.

TV Guide reports that Torres is currently scheduled to appear in two episodes but that won't be the last time we see her character.

Gossip Girl returns to the CW on September 14 at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 Central.

that's fantastic! i'm not a fan of Gossip Girl but I love Ms. Torres. i hope the character truly is recurring. honestly, i'd much rather see her in another action role. those fight scenes she had against Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) were incredible.
