I almost don't know what to do in response to this story--laugh at its absurdity or go ahead and place my order. In fact, when the press release arrived in my in-box, I did a double take. "No," I thought, "this can't be that Dexter..."

But after I thought about it for a moment, I realized that perhaps I shouldn't be so shocked and amused. After all, action figures of serial killers are nothing new.

It's just that I thought, wait, isn't the whole point of Dexter that he tries to look normal and fit in with the rest of society? So wouldn't his action figure just look like, I don't know... that guy from Six Feet Under? So how would those brilliant folks at Bif Bang Pow! create anything visually compelling out of a fellow in a short-sleeve shirt and an overly developed sense of irony? What I'm really waiting for, though, is for the TV character to come across one of these products; it'll never happen of course, but it's nice to think of his bemused reaction and the one-liner he'd come up with.
