Neal McDonough has been tapped to play the title character in the upcoming SciFi Channel miniseries Tin Man, according to Reuters. The six-part miniseries is another retelling of the classic L. Frank Baum novel The Wizard of Oz. McDonough plays Cain, a former policeman (known as "Tin Men" because of their badges). Zooey Deschanel stars as D.G.
, a young woman whisked away from her boring life into "The O.Z.," where magic and wonder rule. Alan Cumming plays Glitch, a man with half a brain, who accompanies her on her quest to find the Mystic Man (Richard Dreyfuss). Along the journey, she encounters Cain and Raw (Raoul Trujillo), a gentle wolverine-like being who needs courage. Her nemesis is the wicked sorceress Azkadellia (Kathleen Robertson), whose destiny intertwines with D.G.'s own.
