This week on Guiding Light the kidnapping drama finally draws to a close, with unexpected results. I'm glad it's finally over, and the twist was great. Bill Lewis being injured in a wreck will provide a boost to the show. Marcy Ryan did a magnificent job as the grieving girlfriend. I had no idea she was that talented. Bill's drunk driving can be effective for Guiding Light, if used right. I'd like to see him arrested after his recovery and Alan use it to regain control of Spaulding. The one disappointment was Jeffrey. I mean, Alan hires him and then nothing. Bill finds Lizzie and Jeffrey was nowhere to be found. He and Reva aren't even at the hospital.
And where's Vanessa? She sure won't get mother of the year for that.

The kidnapping was really the only plot for the week. Remy was mentioned briefly, but like Jeffrey was soon forgotten. The interaction of Natailia and Olivia was good. The scene at the jail over Rafe was poignant. The problem I have with Guiding Light's writing is the disjointedness of the storylines. You get engrossed in one and then, wham!, gone. You better have a good memory. I guess this is the fault of the producer. The organization of the stories needs to be better.

Here's hoping that Bill survives and returns to Lizzie. Wouldn't it be great if Lizzie bore him a son sometime down the line? I do.
