This was mildly better than last week's episode although some parts do still remind me of a soap opera!  For example, you've got Matt Parkman still going on to Daphne about "in the future, we fall in love!" and you have Daphne fluttering her eyelids at him like a puppy and dropping her gun, "I just can't do it Matt!"   Uuuurgh!

You also have Sylar running up to Peter with Peter gasping "you came for me!" with Sylar tenderly replying "that's what brothers do - look out for one another!"  Oh please! Pass me the sick bucket!

But let's look at the episode as a whole :

It starts off with our two favourite comedians, Hiro and Ando (who else?!) being told by African Guy that they have to go back in time to change some bad things.   Hiro, being moral and righteous, refuses to do so, saying that it isn't right to change things that have already happened.    Well, that's both true and not true.   You can argue both sides there.   The old "if you could go back and kill Hitler, would you?" argument.

Meanwhile, if you remember from the last episode, we found out that Peter and Nathan's father, Mr Petrelli (do we know his first name?), is still alive, despite making everyone believe he was dead.   At the end of the last episode, he sucked all of Peter's powers out of him and took them for himself.    So in this episode, Peter is handcuffed to a metal hospital bed and he is dreaming about when he was told that his father was dead.   Peter suddenly wakes up from this dream and finds his father standing at the foot of the bed.   Daddy Petrelli immediately makes it clear that he wants his son to join the evil family business but Peter goes into a rage and tells Daddy that he will bring the evil family business down.   Oops, I think he's just destroyed his promotion prospects there.

No sooner has Claire come back from Freaky Puppet Guy than she finds herself with the next big problem - Elle.   Her electricity problem is getting out of control and she can't stop it.   She has one of the Pinehearst cards in her pocket and she doesn't know whether she should go or not.   Claire volunteers to take her there but on the way in the plane, the out-of-control electricity almost crashes the plane!    Claire ends up saving the day by grabbing Elle's hand and taking some of the electricity into her body.    And would you believe that NO passengers saw this going on?    Was the in-flight movie really that good?

Suresh's cocoon operation meanwhile has been busted.   Again, if you remember from last time, Tracy did her ice grip thing and busted out of her grips on the trolley and then she freed Nathan.   Well Suresh decided to quit while he was ahead but not before taking his prize cocoon - Maya.   He then smashes through the glass ceiling and flies away like Superman and Lois Lane.    Where does he go?   You guessed it - Pinehearst!    Where Daddy Petrelli promptly takes away Maya's power and takes it for himself.   Maya is very happy and leaves and Daddy Petrelli has a new power for himself.    Suresh meanwhile gets recruited by the company.
He probably gets his own private cocoon.

Sylar breaks out of Level 5 again (that place really is pathetic from a prison point of view!) and goes to rescue his brother from those evil dudes (after being told to do so by his mother in a dream - don't ask).   So when Daddy Petrelli has Peter strapped down and ready to be injected by Suresh, Sylar comes strolling in all casually and starts throwing people about.   Peter gets away but Sylar gets caught.    This delights Doctor Evil (sorry, Daddy Petrelli) who starts to poison Sylar's ear with stories about how his mother tried to kill him as a baby.    Sylar then agrees to work for him - or is it just an act?

Daddy Petrelli then orders Daphne to kill Dopey Parkman.   Daphne flutters her eyelids and whimpers that she "doesn't do that sort of thing".   Daddy Parkman obviously objects to his boss ordering a hit being taken out on his son so he starts loudly objecting - so Daddy Petrelli kills Daddy Parkman (bye bye Daddy Parkman - and Nathan won't have to worry about anymore Lindemann sightings!).   So Daphne heads over to Dopey Parkman's apartment with a gun that has more chance of shooting her than him.    Dopey Parkman gallantly tells her to shoot him if it means saving her.   He then does the soap opera bit of "in the future, we fall in love!" and you can see Daphne wilting like flowers that have been left out in direct sunlight for a week.    She drops the gun and moans "I can't do it Matt!".    Oh dear God.   Where did she learn to act like that?

But then BBBD (Big Bad Black Dude) comes kicking the door down (Knox, I think his name is).   I prefer to call him BBBD.  He kills both Daphne and Dopey Parkman.    But we then find out it was just an illusion that Parkman made in BBBD's mind to make him think that Daphne and Parkman were dead.    So maybe Parkman is not so dopey after all.    But Daphne makes a phone call to Papa Petrelli and says "it worked".   So is she a double agent?  I was starting to like her!   Or maybe in the end, she will really fall in love with Parkman and will refuse to sell him out.

Peter finally catches up with Sylar in the hallway of Pinehearst and it becomes rapidly obvious that Sylar has sold his loyalties to his father (or so it seems).   Sylar then proceeds to throw his brother out of a 7 storey window (there's brotherly love for you!).    But surprisingly Peter gets up with little blood and scratches.   How did he survive if he has no powers anymore?   Did Sylar slow down his descent?  Did Sylar give him some powers before he went out the window?   Is Sylar secretly a double agent?

As the episode comes to a close, we go back to Africa, African Guy tells Hiro and Ando, they have to eat the paste and go on a spirit walk since they refuse to go back in time.   Hiro eats the paste and his eyes glaze over.   He falls flat on his back and Ando goes crazy......

As I said, a bit better from last week but I want to see less of the Petrelli family squabbles.   This is not a soap opera!
