This week Guiding Light focused on expanding existing storylines. Unfortunately, it meant more of the Lizzie kidnapping story, with no end in sight. Is is just me, or are you wondering how Lizzie's going to the bathroom and eating? The show said this week she's been gone over a week. I don't know about you, but I can't live that long on convenience store food. And now Cyrus is involved? How come he found them, but Springfield's finest couldn't? Maybe they're all fooling around like Mallet and Marina. I like Jeffrey going back to his old ways.

That's the only good that's come from this this week, but Alan needs to be used more. And what about Beth? Shouldn't she appear more concerned? Please, please, put the fans out of their misery and end this now.

All the other storylines this week either tied into this one or were forgetable. Guiding Light was so great during its Emmy-winning year. These new writers need to take more chances. Yes, the kidnapping was exiting, but now it's not. Not that I'm in favor of Lizzie getting hurt, but something exiting needs to happen quick. Storylines haven't moved this slow since the days before VCRs. I'm actually getting bored.

Here's hoping for better next week.
