Karen L. Newman

Karen L. Newman has been a published writer since 2004 in the horror, science fiction and fantasy genres. Over two hundred and fifty of her short stories and poems have been published both online and in print. Her books include EEKU (Sam’s Dot, 2005) and ChemICKals (Naked Snake Press, 2007) and her work has been nominated for a Dwarf Star Award. She won the 2005 Mary Jane Barnes Award and two of her poems received honorable mention in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror. She edits the online magazine Afterburn SF, which publishes speculative short stories, and is the editor for the print poetry magazine Illumen. She also write reviews for Dark Discoveries. Her reviews have also been featured in Noneuclidean Cafe, The Dream People, Night to Dawn, and Gothic Review.

A new girlfriend for Remy and Shayne's recast are several newsworthy events at Guiding Light. According to CBS Soaps in Depth, Jeff Branson (Jonathan from All My Children) has been tapped to play Shayne Lewis. He's to air December 1, 2008. Also Karla Mosely will play Christina, a possible love interest for Remy. She's set to air on October 22, 2008. Christina is also the actual first name of Blake Marler.
 
Joining Nicole Forester's exit is Miles Williams who plays R.J., Cassie and Hart Jessup's son. They exit together in November. Nicole is set to be married this month and her first child is due in February.

Congrats to Bradley Cole (Jeffrey) and his wife. They're expecting their second child.
 
Ron Raines (Alan Spaulding) will perform in the Chicago  Humanities Festival November 3, 2008 at CHF Hyde Park. He's also singing in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Christmas With the Pops show December 4, 2008 through December 6, 2008 at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. He's also performing Jerry Herman's songs at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California on January 14, 2009.
