If you remember, we left Season 2 with Nathan Petrelli at his press conference about to reveal to the world all about the heroes with their special powers, only to be gunned down before he could utter a word. Who was his assassin? Well we find out in this episode but I am not going to reveal it if you haven't seen the episode yet but when you do find out, you're doing to do an amazing double-take and realize that the future and the present are not as far away as you think ...
Syler is also out and about looking for others to take powers away from. He ends up going to Claire's house and a fight ensues. Claire ends up spending some time locked in the closet but in the end, she comes out fighting and Syler eventually overpowers her. Will she lose her power to Syler and become a mere mortal like the rest of us?
And what about Hiro? After all the running around Japan in the past, what is he doing to occupy his time now? Well he is now fabulously wealthy and in charge of running his father's company. And he's bored.
Nathan Petrelli is brought back to life by his brother using the special powers he has and right away Nathan thinks he has been brought back to life by God. He thinks he has been brought back to life for a reason and this comes to the attention of the media - and the state governor who taps him to become the new junior senator for the state of New York. But the idea was not his. The idea was his assistant's -- Tracy -- who is the spitting image of Niki. Or is it Jessica the evil twin?
Linderman comes to Nathan's bedside and tells him to get up because he is destined for great things. But wait! Wasn't Linderman killed in the last season? How did he survive?
Parkman finds out who Petrelli's would-be assassin was and the assassin (who has hero-like powers) transports Parkman to the African desert. Parkman wakes up with a scorpian on his face and shouts "noooooo!" Well I would too if someone sent me to Africa against my will!
I hugely enjoyed this episode -- a massive improvement over Season 2 - Heroes is most definately BACK!!! What do you think? The writing is fantastic, the action non-stop, the one liners funny. There's never a dull moment.
