Plateau Week
Week two is typically a rough week for everyone. This is the week that participants plateau due to extreme weight loss in the first week. Bob did something a little interesting this week: he ripped the yellow line in the gym and said it was a negative symbol. Everyone should be able to use both sides of the gym.
The Challenge
Ali issued the contestants a challenge. She stated that the average weight loss in week two is 2%. Contestants could bid the percentage of weight loss they think their team could lose at the weigh in. The team with the highest bid will win the challenge. If that team wins their percentage of weight loss, they will win $10,000. But if they fail to achieve their goal, they automatically fall below the yellow line, and could face elimination. The yellow team won the challenge, with a weight loss bid of 2.4%. The yellow team (Jerry & Coleen) will need to lose more than 13 lbs to stay above the yellow line. Jillian was infuriated, and didn’t understand why they would risk their position, especially when Jerry’s health is in question.
Call Home Competition
Ali informed the contestants that they were going to compete for a phone call home. The object of the game was to outlast and beat the other teams. At the sound of the buzzer, each contestant slid down a “slip-n-slide”, and walked back up an incline to hit their buzzer. Each contestant only had two minutes to complete a round. The contestants who did not complete a round within two minutes were eliminated. The gray and yellow teams had difficulty, because Jerry and Tom could not participate due to health reasons. After two rounds, each round had to be completed in 1 minute, 30 seconds. After 18 rounds, the Orange Team won the competition. The Orange Team had an option of giving another team the chance to call home as well. They chose the Red Team, due to the fact that the Red Team had three small children.
Let's Cook
Chef Rocco Dispirito visited the Biggest Loser again this year. He shared healthy eating tips as well as how to cook on a budget. Rocco issued a challenge with a twist: he asked each team who was the better cook on the team. Then he chose the contestants that didn’t raise their hand. Those contestants were going to cook an incredible meal for the other contestants. After their counterparts tasted each dish, they were judged. Amy of the purple team won the challenge with her dish: tiny turkey meatball & chickpea soup.

Decision Time
The other teams had an hour to decide whom to eliminate. In the beginning, it was a split decision. Ed & Heba expressed their loyalty to Tom & L.T. by not voting for them. Tom & L.T. were very instrumental in keeping Ed & Heba last week. But with four votes, Tom & L.T. were eliminated.
The Gray Team Today
Tom has lost a total of 65lbs, and hopes to be 214 by the finale. L.T. lost a total of 81 lbs, and believes he will win the at home challenge prize: $100,000.
